About Kahibah Local Post Office and Gifts
We are a Family-owned Licensed Post Office, and our goal is to be a community centred business providing Australia Post services as well as a range of gift and related products.
The Kahibah Post Office has been operating in Kahibah since 1923, with horse delivery of mail in the early days.
We offer a full range of Australia Post services including passport interviews, quality photos for passports and other identity needs. We also have a wide range of travel services, bill payment, banking services, a wide range of greeting cards and gift lines as well as all packaging needs.
Post Box mail is received each morning, and outgoing mail collected each day after 3:00pm Mon-Friday. We open at 8:30am Mon-Saturday, and close at 5pm most days, 5:30pm on Monday and Friday, and midday on Saturday. We close Public Holidays.
Express Mail is guaranteed next business day delivery to Newcastle and Sydney

Post Office Boxes
Home isn’t your only delivery address. Get your mail sent to a private address that doesn’t have to change.
We have a range of small, medium, and large PO Boxes available to rent. We can notify you by email when your PO Box has mail. Mail is delivered every weekday and is usually ready for collection by 8:00am.
You might consider renting a PO Box if:
You're not home during the day and want your mail and parcels delivered to a safe place
You want to keep your home address private
You want to keep your online shopping separate from your regular mail
You move regularly and want to keep the same address so you don't risk missing any mail
You share a house and want to keep your mail and parcels seperate from your housemates
If your parcel requires a signature we will put a Parcel Card into your PO Box. Bring the Parcel Card into the Post Office and we will retrieve your parcel (Photo ID may be required to collect parcels).

We have packaging and sending options for domestic and intenational parcels. We hold Parcel Collect parcels, and have many post boxes available for rent.

If you were out (or did not answer the door) when the postman came with your parcel the parcel will be brought to a post office - you may have received a Parcel Card though these are rare now. If you are collecting a parcel on behalf of someone else you will need their signed, written authority. You will need your ID (drivers licene or other ID) to collect the parcel.
